Slogan Writing

Slogan Writing’ activity was planned for classes IX to XII as part of ‘Earth week’ celebrations. The topics given to students were ‘Global warming’ and ‘Nurture Our Resources’. The activity was planned to make students aware about saving ou mother Earth from the increasing environmental degradation and exhortd everybody to save flaura & fauna from the unhealthy man made practices such as growing industrialization and urbanization.

    Earth Day Workshop(Making Soda Bottle Green House)

    To celebrate the Earth day and to make students aware about the conservation of environment, an Earth Day Workshop was held for classes II-III in the A.V Room on 20th April. The workshop was conducted by Ms Shivani and Ms Japneet. The workshop was started by a short PPT with the introduction of Earth Day its date, history and why it is celebrated. This was followed by a short informational on conservation of environment and ways to reduce, recycle and reuse. After the workshop, the students made their own greenhouse using soda bottles. The students thoroughly enjoyed making their green house with tiny saplings in it.

      Crafts from Newspaper

      On 20th April 2018, newspaper activity was conducted in classes VI-VII in last 2 period’s i.e.  From 1.00pm-2.05pm. Such activities are organized so that the students get a rejuvenating and creative break from their tight scheduled week. The activities are organized in such a way that a momentum is attained within the academic, creative and recreational activities. The students made and decorated their work with newspaper cuttings, quilling’s and cones & further gave them the shape of flowers and photo frames. It was a fun activity for students and they were also helped by their class teachers.

        Spellathon Competition

        Spelling is an integral part of English Language Teachings. At SGS we aim at enhancing the spellings of students and for this we conducted a spellathon competition for classes IV-V on 20th April students from each club, who had been selected from the preliminary round took part in this competition. The competition consisted of four rounds-oral, written, indentifying words and rapid fire. The students were grilled to achieve the correct spellings.

          Gift Wrapping Different ways with Newspaper

          An innovative gift wrapping activity was conducted for classes IV-V on                20th April ’18 in their respective classrooms. The students used waste newspapers and wrapped it carefully, while following the instructions given by the teachers. The students decorated their envelopes beautifully and designed it in their own unique way. The activity was fulfilled and the students enjoyed it very much.

              School Discipline & Class Norms

              On 13th April 2018, an informative and path steering workshop was organized in Scholars Global School on the topic school discipline. The workshop commenced with the teacher i.e Miss Ritu informing the students about the importance of Discipline. How discipline is important in every sphere and every walk of life. Scholars Global School pays special attention to the overall growth of a child, which also means, living by certain set of rules and imbibing this culture into their lines. Then the students of class VI-VII here acquainted with the rules and regulations which they should follow and adapt. The students got their queries quenched at the end of the workshop.

                School Discipline & Class Norms

                Classroom rules & School discipline are the most crucial parts for the smooth functioning of teaching –learning process. To improve compliance with school and classroom rules & to convince our students of the importance these policies, an informative workshop was organized on 13th April’18. Through this, students  got a sneak  peek into the mandatory code of conduct and set of rules which need to be adhered to for desirable behavior, In the workshop, a detailed overview of classroom rules and norms was given using powerful PPT , Videos and discussion. A Question –Answer round was conducted to test students ‘comprehension about the same.

                  Poster Making on Save Environment

                  A poster making activity was conducted on 13th April for classes IV-V in the Friday Activity period. The theme for the activity was Save Environment. The students had been already informed about the topic and had got some creative ideas about the poster from home. The students created colorful posters with slogans in their allotted groups. This poster making activity also infused in the children the drive to save the environment.

                    Fancy Dress Competition

                    A fancy dress competition was held for classes II-III in the auditorium on 13th April 2018. The theme of the Fancy Dress Competition was “Different Modes of Communication”. This unique topic made the students more creative and innovative, as they came up dressed as various communication tools, like Facebook, internet, newspaper, letter, radio, etc. . . .The students also spoke confidently  few sentences on the mode they depicted. The students were confident. The judges of the competition were Ms Sonali & Ms Sarika for class II and Ms Leena & Ms Anchal for class III. The effort and hard work of children was highly commendable as they spoke very confidently.

                      Club Meeting

                      The Club system in Scholars Global School generates a wonderful sense of camaraderie amidst the scholarites. The wide range of sporting & cultural activities and competitions among the four clubs fosters prides & belongingness to the club which developes the school culture. The marks of every individual clubs are added at the end of every academic year to announce the winner club on 6thApril’18 during the activity periods, the club –masters shared their vision with students and informed them about activities of April & May. The club masters guided the students & motivated them to be the part of the liveliest events of the year so that they can bring laurels not only to their respective clubs but also to school and parents.

                        ‘Club-Meeting’ of Class VI-VII was held on 6thApril 2018 at 1300hrs-1400hrs. The respective club masters of Victors, Leaders, Achievers and Champions shared their visions with their club students and introduced themselves. Participants were chosen for the upcoming competitions in the month of April and May. Captains, Vice captains and various other volunteers were chosen, so that the smooth functioning of all school activities can be ensured. Towards the end each and every student was motivated to show active participation and enthusiasm.

                          School Rules and Etiquettes

                          A workshop on School Rules and Etiquette took place in the school auditorium for classes IV-V on 6th April 2018.The workshop was conducted by Ms Manisha Bhatia and the various school rules and the code of conduct of the school were discussed with the help of power point presentation. The emphasis on the rules are important as they help in the proper functioning of school and reinforces the proper code of conduct required by an SGS student. After the workshop the students showed their understanding by attempting the worksheet on school rules.

                            School rules Etiquettes Workshop
                            The school pays importance to strengthen the discipline among students. For this, the students should be well aware of the school rules. A workshop on school rules and etiquettes took place for class II-III in the A.V Room on 6th April 2018. The various school rules and the proper code of conduct of school was discussed by Ms Aarushi and Ms Pooja through a power point.
